Pets: Colby (dog), Windsor, T.J., Oscar, Sawyer, Tango & Cash (cats)

Dr. Watzin grew up in Montreal before attending the University of Guelph at the age of 17 in 1984. After graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) in 1990 she practiced at a multi-hospital, small animal practice in Mississauga for 6 years. It was not long before Dr. Watzin quickly excelled and was managing the entire veterinary and technical staff at all three facilities.

Dr. Watzin opened Watzin Veterinary Clinic in 1996 and has since been expanding and developing the practice into an updated facility including laser surgery, a wide variety of diagnostic resources and therapeutic management options. Watzin Veterinary Clinic was one of the first to offer CO2 Laser surgery in the province and one of the first in Canada to offer digital radiography. Dr. Watzin takes pride in staying up-to-date on emerging medical developments in the Veterinary world and regularly attends continuing education seminars including the annual OVMA Conferences. Most recently, Dr. Watzin has taken interest in the 'Fear Free Initiative' and strives to create a 'Feline Friendly Practice'.

Dr. Paige Sommerville
DVM, Fear Free Certified

Pets: Lucy & Callie (dogs), Todd & Freddie (cats)

After graduating from the University of Guelph and obtaining her B.Sc and DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) in 2012, Dr. Sommerville has since experienced working in several small animal practices in the GTA and Hamilton areas. Dr. Sommerville is particularly interested in the areas of Pathology and Pharmacology.
In 2016 Dr. Sommerville volunteered in Roatan, Honduras through an organization called World Vets. Upon returning to Canada, she brought with her a sweet girl named Callie whom she provided with extensive medical care. While in Roatan, Dr. Sommerville spayed Callie, repaired her wounds, treated her skin infection, removed dozens of ticks and treated her for a tick-borne disease called Ehrlichiosis. Callie's journey wasn't over yet. With the proper resources back in Canada, Dr. Sommerville performed FHO (Femoral Head Osteotomy) surgery with Dr. Watzin to provide pain-free mobility. Callie is currently on her journey to recovery and will be utilizing Watzin's Physiotherapy Program.
In her free time Paige dances at the same studio as (Technician) Kathryn and enjoys biking. She also loves camping and hiking with her dogs Lucy and Callie.
