Dr. Sandra Watzin

Dr. Watzin grew up in Montreal before attending the University of Guelph at the age of 17 in 1984. After graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) in 1990 she practiced at a multi-hospital, small animal practice in Mississauga for 6 years. It was not long before Dr. Watzin quickly excelled and was managing the entire veterinary and technical staff at all three facilities.

Dr. Watzin opened Watzin Veterinary Clinic in 1996 and has since been expanding and developing the practice into an updated facility including laser surgery, a wide variety of diagnostic resources and therapeutic management options. Watzin Veterinary Clinic was one of the first to offer CO2 Laser surgery in the province and one of the first in Canada to offer digital radiography. Dr. Watzin takes pride in staying up-to-date on emerging medical developments in the Veterinary world and regularly attends continuing education seminars including the annual OVMA Conferences. Most recently, Dr. Watzin has taken interest in the ‘Fear Free Initiative’ and strives to create a ‘Feline Friendly Practice’.

In her spare time, Sandra enjoys gardening, excercising, hiking and travelling!
